|||||
This is the GM APPROVED way of requesting bailment units to be transferred to dealer inventory. **The dealer MUST request the unit from the bailment company electronically, through DEALER WORLD, under SPECIAL INFORMATION REPORTING. **The reference number generated by GM is your order to release the unit to your dealership. You will receive this number the next morning after you have entered your request. Until this is done, your order is NOT complete and we will NOT process your order. **When the bailment company has received your request for upfit, the order will be processed. They will release the unit into your dealer inventory the day production starts. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL A UNIT START PRODUCTION WITHOUT THE UNIT BEING RELEASED TO THE DEALERSHIP FIRST. **In three to five days; GM will mail an invoice and MSO to your dealership. **This system was put into place to protect the dealers and the bailment companies as business partners. If you have any questions or have any inconviences with your request system; please call (888)337-1010 to speak with a Dealer World representative.
